Inspired by the tragedy at Sandy Hook on 12.14.12 and by America’s ‘violence problem’ in general. Put simply, I grieve, deeply - and this is my piece which expresses that grief. The title translated means ‘O Sorrow So Profound’ – and I cannot conceive of any sorrow more profound than what the parents of those children felt on that tragic day.
