'Why does hearing certain music bring tears to our eyes' was a question I raised to a group attending a seminar some years back which focused on the power of music as Medicine. After the question, the room went dead-quiet. One of the two leaders (both well-known ambient artists) finally managed his thoughtful answer: “The tears that come are tears of Recognition.” Not only did this sound like Truth to me, I instantly thought it would make a richly evocative title.
